Here is a Bosch test plan for a 1.6 TD
You can see max fuel is at 1500(pump). It has started to cut back by 2250 but is still only down 10% from max fuel. By 2525 it is down to 8-16cc. By 2750 you should have no more then 3.0cc
I know it's TD but it's governed about the same as a NA from what I recall. I have only tested like 5 pumps so I could easily be wrong.

Tylers dyno run probly had a Giles pump on the engine.
Just in case that might change the parameters a bit.

His dyno page clearly shows both stock, and Gilesified runs.
the gains are astronomical, with nothing more than the pump.. intake and exhaust along with a port job... an n/a could easily keep up with a stock and slightly modded TD

IIRC the TD's were governed slower than NA's.

i read at the beginning of this thread that when the new owner put the oil cap on the valve cover it did not dance. What is this telling you? i have just never heard of this being done. i am assuming you just lightly set the cap on the hole?

The amount of blow by the engine is producing. However it is not fully accurate unless you block off the crank vent, because it sucks a big amount of the blow by directly back in to the cylinders.

no crank hose in place, still no dancing. well, it moves around a little bit like you would expect, but not like my old TD engine. that thing would puff the cap clear off the valve cover.
and jeremy - i think i had already done the intake, but everything else was still stock. im not sure if someone took the resonator off before me, but there is no resonator, just a muffler. here directly its all coming off tho. im gonna put some 2" on it, because i can get a bunch of it for free. i need a loud diesel again. this rabbit is so quiet you can actually hear yourself think inside it. you can carry on a normal conversation at normal to low voice volume at highway speed. my turbo rabbit wasnt so easy..

update -
had to make a header support brkt.. fired it up cold yesterday and the header was just rattling like a mother. and i figured it will allow me to get a few more miles out of the header before it breaks off.. lol
and i added a 18" cherry bomb also, the stock muffler was starting to rattle, i hate rattles. now, its LOUD, way loud. possibly the loudest car in the county. its louder than any ricer around. but it doesnt "fart" like a ricer, it definitely has some rap from the pipes.. and it raps at about 1200 rpms or so. it has alot more of a "crack" to it than my 1.5 had.
every time i get on the throttle, the exhaust makes me and whoever is riding with me giggle.. its good for a laugh. and the people who just dont know.. "why is your car so loud?" its a diesel yo.. compression isnt quiet..

i took the fuel screw out of my turbo pump last night and put it in the n/a... it pours all sorts of blackness now..
im thinking of trying some nitrous, i got plenty of fuel now. but i really need bigger exhaust. the stock stuff is just a tad bigger than 1.5" pipe.

the fuel screw from my turbo pump has no limiting collar. and now the fuel screw is the idle adjustment now..
