Author Topic: Seeking comments on using a 1.6 TD inj pump on an AAZ motor (Read 2262 times)

I'm wondering if I would be better off to replace my tired AAZ inj pump (it's an Ecodiesel too) with a pump from a 1.6TD rather than getting the AAZ pump rebuilt. Anyone have any experience good or bad with this situation. Cheers Dan

don't fit I believe the shaft size is different the best mod if you have the two pump is to use the top off the 1.6 pump on the 1.9 pump. Giving you more boost fuel etc.

it'll work, but you need to put all the 1.6L bracketry on the engine. Can't remember if the serpentine belt bracketry will mate with it without mods. You might also need to put the AAZ pump's delivery valves into the 1.6L pump.
