Is this normal voltage to be reading at the battery?
battery light is OFF
running lights (no head lights) and nothing else - 11.89v
lights, stereo - 11.73v
lights, stereo, defrost, heater blower - 11.57v
car off ignition off - 12.12v
That was yesterday after a 15 minute drive
Now after a 15 minute drive my battery light is ON/flickering and i put my multimeter to the battery with stereo & lights on and it read 14.33v...
You have a bad voltage regulator.. are they built in to the alt's? I think they are. New Alternator I think Ed...
seems normal to me. After a drive leave it sit before your test about an hour or turn your headlights on for a couple seconds to get the static charge off of it, then test and I bet it will be in range...or you'll know if she is junk.
ohh wait.. are these values running or not running?
car off ignition off - 12.12v
That is the only non-running value.
If they all seem normal why is my battery light on/flickering. It's never solid. It's always a flicker, sometimes MUCH brighter than other times.
Sometimes when i open the door my light in the roof will pulsate.
You can replace the V-regulator i thought Jer?

Sounds like the regulator is dying, on its way out rather than already flatlined.
As I recall, the regulator and brushes are a single replaceable unit, and fairly easy to acquire.
SHWeeet i'll hit up the local parts stores.
Upgrade your grounds while you are at it. The Voltage Regulator is cheap and should be in-stock just about anywhere.
Run a good ground from one of the case bolts on the alternator, and another one from one of the bolts on the valve cover.

ah valve cover.. ok. wouldnt have thought there but that is easy enough to do.
