Does your pump have one of these:

We're pretty sure that's an idle booster for A/C equipped cars.

OK, thanks for the picture... 99.999% sure you don't have an idle regulator, unless there's some novel mystery device buried on the other side of the pump !
Based on your other posting it sounds like you're trying to fix a low/rough idle problem... could be clogged/worn injectors, could be a misbehaving injection pump, could be really poor timing or fuel system (how's the power otherwise ??) Can you see any air bubbles in that tiny piece of clearish tubing (the elbow bend) that leads into the pump ? Actually on second look maybe it's not clear at that point... is there a clear section somewhere ?
What to do next depends on what tools you have: the two easy ones are (a) removing the injectors and having them tested (15mm wrench and a 27mm deep dish socket) or (b) check the timing (cam lock, dial gauge and adapter, new valve cover gasket etc)

You might have a idle speed adjusting lever on the other side of the pump it is (I think) the lever above the cold start lever on the pump.
But does that explain your rough idle? I doubt it.... but you can try timing the pump with the idle speed and cold start in the home place.

Isn't it 17mm? You are refering to the hard injector lines right?

yeah its a 17mm dude and a 27mm injector socket...
progress so far guys, hopethis solves the problem.... cost me a fair bit to £££$$$
these are the old set of injectors
new replacements
new glow plugs, the one on the right is the old one but the replacement that i picked up on the left is the wrong shape and size :? , that's another trip to the shops tomorrow.
What do you guys think, should this solve the problems that im having? i also removed the timing belt cover and all looks fine under there, if i wanted to do a quick check to see if the belt had jumped a tooth, how would i go about doing this?

turn the engine to TDC and look at the end of the cam to make sure it is level with the head. I'm not sure how to check the pump on your engine though
