What is the current state of the motor? has it been rebuilt recently?  Most on this forum will agree that a good base motor should be in excellent condition before attempting to push 200 hp.  The boost required to get you 200 hp may seep past the rings and cause some problems later on (extra pressurized oil or whatnot)

If you have that all taken care of, maybe you should consider sending your pump to Giles for a performance upgrade.

Or send to Finland which is much closer to Sweden. HP-Diesel, PP-diesel or Mynä-diesel will make a pump you need. But I´d bet there is a good pump specialist in Sweden too.

Isn't a mkIII a bit heavy for maximum performance?

Nice project though! :D

oooo you should get an oil temp gauge as well.   It will help determine how long you should let your car cool down after a hard run.  :)
