Yes, but not the split type, it was a one piece seat back. I believe the point of the conversion is to gain the split feature which to the best of my knowledge was not available on the MK2.
I have two mark 2 Golfs (1- 2 dr, 1- 4 dr.)in the driveway - not one split rear seat.
