What is this monster that you are needing such a powerful clutch? A stock clutch (210mm) should hold fine on a tweaked TD.
1stdo 16v pressure plate,2nd,south bend (or o2a conversion)
A gasser 210mm clutch should be a cheap upgrade,.. and I believe the 16V pressure plate applies more force.

I run a sachs 16v PP and 210 disc with my 1z in the cabriolet and it has no problem hooking upThe 16v originally came on sciroccos and some jettas/golfs of the 87/88/89 vintage the 210 disc came on rabbits,jettas,golfs everything but the diesel from about 84 on and flywheel you can do from any of the 16v or even 8v mk3 cars just make sure its marked for TDC before installing it as some only have advanced timing marks!
