I just did the heater core in my 95 Golf and I'd rather change one in a MKII any day.
for any of you that might be blessed with the great misfortune of changing heater cores in a mk2, just a reminder, it is a beeeeeeeeotch!
I do know that I drive torque, while listening to my friends prattle on about horsepower.
caveman, by far the easiest heater core to change is a 68 Fargo pick up.
Sawsall time! And looking at that dash gave me a great idea for sound deadening that I really need to do. Foam, spray on type. Anyone agree?
i know you dont get lucky on a mk2 or mk3, you gotta pull the dash. you cant get to the heater core any other way, unless you cut a hole in the rain tran, and firewall possibly.. lol.

I did not have to remove the dash.
