get your block pressure situation figured out? i would be worried about that..

should pull your intake manifold and make it work likt its supposed to

hahaha no, no i have not gotten my block pressure situation figured out yet. if it's blowby (it must be cause i have good smokage when at a stoplight now that PCV is vented to atmosphere) then what am i gonna do re-ring it right now?
if the intake is just jammed up i'll deal with that ... soon hopefully.
i think it's gonna be excessive blowby tho, judging by the way it freightrains at a stoplight..

i've just got too many irons in the fire right now to really deal with the thing.

soon tho. i'll post up

mine doesnt have much blow by and it still smokes at stop lights.. its a VW diesel thing.. im sure mine would puke oil too if the bottom end couldnt breathe..

only reason you never notice the smoke, is because 99.9 percent of VW diesels have properly vented breathers (vented to the intake so you never see the smoke.

why not take a compression test and see if you need rings? rather than just speculate.. because if your vents are clogged in your intake manifold, and your breather is basically a plug at that point, it will push oil out of the dipstick EVEN ON A BRAND NEW ENGINE..

make the breather work like its supposed to, and hook it up right.. then you wont have to worry about it..

I don't think I would even consider driving around with one of those stickers on my car. Such terrible grammar :banghead:

finally got around to making a video of the blowby. this is an a/c line i made into a PCV hose (to help get this stuff away from me, altho that's not working very well)

you think the intake manifold could consume all this ??

yup, i do think it could consume all that. and i would also suspect you have a vacuum leak somewhere, or your engine has a bazillion miles on it..

Here is how to fix your problem;

1. Remove intake manifold
2. Clean the PCV ports in the intake manifold, if needed enlarge holes
3. Install intake manifold
4. Install new Y-hose from valve cover to intake manifold ports
5. Find and repair ALL vacuum leaks

DONE!!

Your welcome.

i dont mean to be an ass, and rub it in..

BUT!

WE TOLD YA SO!!

and yes, the a/c brackets are a pain.. and remember, you gotta tighten the a/c belt first, then tighten the alt..

i HATE a/c and power steering, i dont run them.. my cars all have one belt..

I couldn't figure a way to run just one belt. I don't even have a/c the only thing left is the compressor @ this point. But it's needed to run the alt. I tried replacin it with the alt but I couldn't go it.
How do you have one belt on an a/c car?

you havent figured it out because you havent taken your a/c compressor off. and you havent found Toywagen yet..

http://www.toywagen.com/

to use stock VW pullies, you need a non a/c crank pulley and water pump pulley.. then the stock alternator pulley lines up perfectly.

only reason i know that, is because ive compared a/c pulleys, and non a/c pullies.. the a/c pulleys have more offset (1 belt width)

No dude my bolts were stripped that hold the compressor to the bracket so I had to pull it all down; the alt, compressor both brackets everything. (turns out that bracket holds coolant too! Big surprise there)
But I didn't have access to the non a/c pullies yeah I'm dyin to get this damn compressor off.
Next time it dicks off again I'll find these pullies you speak of.

toywagen makes a pulley where you can use all the pullies you already have on your engine..

and no, the bracket doesnt have any coolant running thru it. but the bolts that hold that bracket on, also hold the water pump to the block.. THAT has coolant in it, not the bracket..
