Source for .040" over rings?

I'm building 1.6N/A. The cylinders are pitted so I'm boring .040" over. I've decided to go with Prothe's pistons but I'm not going to screw around with the rings that come with them.
Anybody have a source for German rings? (Goetz, Mahle, etc)
thanks!

Last person who was on a search for these found them at:
http://www.vwdieselparts.comBut that was the last set he had in stock.. Apparently they are getting a tad hard to come by.. Can't hurt to check with Jack though...

this guy seems to have it all except engine assemblies.. but he's even got door handles and stuff so maybe he has what you need

oh mercy. ANOTHER prothe site? By the way, I didn't give prothe the business, I can get top line pistons through my shop for less than half his price.

I checked with my parts guy back when Corey was looking.. He was able to locate a set, but they were Topline.. Personally, I never cared for their VW rings though..

Maybe try contacting Total seal or Hastings and see what can be made?

Yeah, my Top Line pistons came with rings but I'm wary of using them.
Guess it's time to call Total Seal

Also, I checked with the dealership today. Apparently ALL oversize rings for the 1.6s are NLA

PLEASE: do us all a favor and report back on how this guy treats you on this purchase...like how long it took to get....if they were what they were advertised as.....if they really came in a "Grant" box....if they were packaged safely, etc.
Thank you up front.

Will do. Do you have cause to doubt this seller or have you just not dealt him?
