I know Vince Waldon had a pic of a head cut in half somewhere. I don't know which it was 1.6 or 1.9.

It may have even been on the other site vwdieselparts or something like that.

This may be what you're thinking of... probably doesn't show the details the OP is after though:

If I could find someone local with a good bandsaw I've got a great donor head that was pressurizing the coolant due to a couple very small cracks between the valves and the prechamber... hmmmm.

whats it got? 3 compression rings? and its not a VW piston either, cause the comp rings on a vw are spaced far apart from the scraper and oil rings.. and there in a steel ring land too.

I bet it's a vw head on a different block. No hg either. The top of the piston looks rather strange too.
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

yea, its definitely not on the right block. the deck should hold the pre cup in more than that.. it should cover almost half the pre cup.

I have a lot more pic's at different angles so if you want something just ask
