Here's a shot of my drrty red diesel from yesterday's get together in Vancouver.

Lowered on a bilstein/HR sport cup kit, 2" drop in the front, 1.75" drop in the rear.

Wheels are OEM G60/corrado steelies, wrapped in Dunlop Direzza 205.50.15's [such a smooth grippy tire] Easy to roll into a corner without slowing down, or needing to heavy accelerate out.

Still missing 5th gear, and grinds from 1st to 4th while driving, however still retaining 7l/100km on a tank of diesel. Swapping it out with a good condition transmission this coming saturday July 9th

Did a compound polish on the body, paint/buffing compound to polish to synthetic wax

Painted the trim and bumper with flat vinyl paint

I think the only next few things I want to do are mainly comfort add ons, however i'm very compelled to get a EGT gauge and a boost gauge, along with a front mount intercooler just to keep the driving a little bit more at ease.

all in all the car is doing it's duty, and will most likely remain this way till I have enough banked away for a mk6 golf/jetta wagon.

my favorite colors blue, so i quite like it, and i like that little bunny there too on the fender.  looks like a nice paint job.  i was talking to my dads neighbor who used to be the service writer for the body shop at a toyota dealer, he said to use the good clear coat (which should always be used cause it has uv protection *** in it, costs 500 dollars alone, then u still gotta figure in the paint and all that crap, he said if ur gonna skimp it should be on the paint never on the clear coat.

PBS, silver was boring, and that's all I have to say about that. 8)

TrevOrbr, the guy was right. This was a bare metal restoration and the bodyshop guy said "I can use $100 clear or $300 clear....it's your choice". When I told him $300, he said that one decision told him how I wanted the job done. The paint is absolutely gorgeous. It is the original silver and an Electric Blue Pearl. It  has a lot of metallic, and simply pops in the sun.

Very nice Caddy.  I used to do some painting back when I had a garage and I went through all the stages from lacquer to the new BC/CC stuff.  Have to third the clear coat makes the difference.  Unless you totally botch the paint in the first place.  Then no matter how much you spent on the clear coat it still looks like a 50 dollar paint job.

Are those original Caddy wheels?  Did you have them reconditioned and powder coated?

Again nice two tone and use of the lines on the hood.  Did the same with a Subaru Justy for my wife about 12 yrs ago.  She thought it was over done but then it kind of grew on her.
