i wonder what the lowest read out is for exhaust gas temp? and i wonder if the thermo is any good too? probably not a aircraft spruce quality sensor im guessing.

Egt /Boost : same drill tap
Volt/ water temp: lead to the battery and Temp sender
Total cost 785.00 for all three with the installation kit

I had a glowshift EGT for a while, cant beat the price, and it reacted fast.
I would bet that the EGT on that gauge would go down to 100* or so, but check glowshiftdirect.com for more details(and to buy it, cheaper directly from them)
the only issue I had with my glowshift EGT was the backlighting, after being installed twice, and having the plug yanked out of it a few times, the backlight stopped working in certain colors, and would reset itself randomly. but the gauge still worked flawlessly.
I have gone to a digital gauge setup from auber instruments, as it has an external warning relay that you can set at whatever temp you want(I will be using it to switch my water/meth sprayer) and is very reasonably priced as well
can be found at auberins.com
they also sell temperature gauges and senders for all sorts of things like water temp/trans temp/intake air temp etc...

I looked at least expensive products , But after putting the money into new injectors , Giles pump and Hybrid KO3 Turbo I really wanted a good quality gauge to follow the build.
I asked giles for 17si max since no intercooler yet on my caddy / AAZ and not sure if Iam going to re-unstall the a/c system yet .
I have a new 120 alt and the correct alt brackets for this , But iam leaning towards a I.C. since it's just around town truck to carry pkg's and supplies.
I enjoy it more than my Toyota Supercharged 05 double cab toyota that I gave to my son.
Next will be the Three silicone coolant hoses for the AAZ engine: 2 coolant and the hose assy to the Coolant tank.

Notice too that it's shipped UPS - so add 50$ to the price right off the bat for brokerage fees (crooks).

I've been thinking about going for the Auber gauges... do you like them? Turning on water meth is actually a great idea, although I would want some better form of warning light to turn on at 1200deg or so. Maybe set like 700 as the min to hold the water/meth off?
My fear with digital is that while more precise, it's not as easy to see at a glance if I'm getting too high temp or if oil pressure drops, so the warning system would have to be pretty good

I cant say too much about the auber gauges, as I have not driven the car yet, other than to say they look like quality pieces and work as advertised so far.
I agree that digital is hard for at a glance, but as the EGT in the gauge shown in the first post is digital, there is little difference except for the customizable nature of the auber ones.
the EGT on my motor will be less critical, as there is no turbo to blow up.
I think I will set the alarm(and thus the water/meth) to come on at 1200* and go off at 1000*
I might set up a two stage, one triggered by boost pressure and the other by EGT...

I would think if your intake charge was 300 degrees you would HAVE to use an IC to get it back to earth.

I know i know. Maybe thats why i can get 1600 EGTs easily
. Intercooler is going on soon. I have been meaning to install an intake temp gauge before i intercool it to see how much it helps.
If i did the math correct assuming 70-75% compressor efficiency my t3 pushing 20-22psi is putting somewhere around 278-293F outlet temp!
If i can get a intercooler with about 70-75% efficiency i could bring my intake temps down to about 123F.

Sorry, feeling a bit lazy on the find Friday - Did you use the ideal gas law ( PV = NrT ) ?
