You don't rev a VW diesel, you increase the clatter.

I love seeing a work of art like that...

along those lines there's an Australian aircraft company that was not happy with the small engine's that other made, so they developed their own. The prototype had its heads (and most other parts) milled out of a solid billet of aluminum… the customers liked the looks so much, they make the production engines that way too.

thats not even that rediculious for a set of super high performance rods. who is going to have a VW diesel that spins over 10k rpms and has over 1k horsepower?

I think these are more for a low RPM torque situation where bending rods can actually occur.

if you read their website it says they will hold 1000 brake horsepower at 10,000 rpms... thats not really low rpms to me.

That's why I bought the Intengineering rods for my 1.9... Low RPM full boost situations in a heavy vehicle, not because I'm gonna rev the life out of it. ;)

Thanks for reading my post genius...

Its pretty obvious that these engines wont do that... but for some reason you tried to call me on it?

Read the post before this one... exactly what I said.

theres no reason to get pissed off, we are on computers.
am i e-insulting you? take it with a grain of salt if i say something that offends you or you dont agree with.

i was simply stating what the god damn website states. i know we are never going to be spinning them that fast. im not stupid, or an idiot. and if you read the whole thing, i was talking about the 10k rpms first, so i wasnt going over your post or walking on your toes, so chill out.

Thanks for the link Blackdog, very nice product, although pretty pricey. A set of 8 "Mountain Motor" rods are around the same price, but in this case supply and demand, not much demand for these rods I would guess. It is my observation that peening, polishing, balancing and rod bold upgrade should be good enough for most of the motors built "round here.  ;)

actually it says "All Maxspeeding rods can stand over 1000BHP(HP) and 10000RPM to accomplish all kinds of racing applications perfectly."  not anything about a specific engine speed to hp
