The lifters and the cam wear together big time. If you mix up your lifters chances are you're going to toast your cam in pretty short order. Essentially the cam lobes get a bit of a dish to them that matches the specific lifter it was running on.

AFAIK most people reuse the shims too .
Clutch question. I was going to go with a eurospec lightened flywheel, 16v pressure plate and an 8v clutch disc. Problem is i wont be able to get the flywheel till spring. So i am stumped for a flywheel. How would a stock 8v flywheel do?? Kane
I see. Well im picking up my HG and timing belt/tensioner today so ill see if i can get my clutch ordered up as well. Yeah i have read that about the timing mark. when using the gasser clutches with the diesel.
