You can use a Cummins pin as well. just be sure to use the 1.6 or Cummins spring with the pin. On the Cummins spring, I had to open the bottom up just a little so it would fit over the spring retainer.

Anyone have a link to a post with the Part number? (or just the #?) Cummins parts are easy for me to find, Rover TD parts, not so much.

I didn't get a #, just bought a pin and spring from the local rebuilder. Whatever it was he had on hand. I don't imagine there aren't too many stock variations

Jim,

I am surprised that a stock Cummins pin just fit in your LDA on the 1.6 pump...
My cummins pump in order to utilize the stock cummins pin in the VW LDA required disassembly of the LDA and removal of the stock boost pin sleeve and swapping in the Cummins sleeve as well (as the diameter of the cummins pin is slightly larger in my case). Maybe the stock AAZ pump runs this "large" sleeve for the boost pin?

I don't have a 1.6, I have an AAZ, um I mean M-TDI.
