crankshaft sprocket bolt specs?
« on: December 03, 2007, 05:16:46 am »
Sorry VW friends for asking such a pedestrian question.
My 1.9 TD long block was delivered to me with a crankshaft sprocket but seemingly  no bolt to hold it there. How the machine shop managed to force the sprocket in position without a bolt is beyond me.

Does anyone know off-hand the specs of this specific bolt??? I am aware of the thread below on the same subject, i.e 12 point bolts, 19 mm sockets etc. What I need is your advice on the darn bolt, what to buy and where.

Thanks.

For reference it's M14x1.5x47.

VW number is N 905 771 01. It should only be a couple of dollars.
