Hi, just got hold of a mk3 golf TD with what i presume is an AAZ, its a 96 btw. The pull leaves alot to be desired, seems like alot of difference from my last mk2 gtd. So i was wondering what turbos are u guys running? What are they off? and what other parts do ui need to fit aswell? Nothing too pricey though
Thanks Joel

The AAZ is flat as a fart bert, put a rover 220TD aneroid pin in ASAP this will help to be honest,im using a garrett T3 off a 1.6 TD mk2 golf, goes like stink to be honest, ive only swapped the pin,NO other mods at all.

Will i need the manifold aswell or will it fit onto the AAZ? Any other bits?

Hi,i have not touched the fuel screw, the governor springs, nothing exept the aneroid pin, took 3 mins to swap, look at the top of the pump the 4 screws come out,the pin pulls out with the diaphram, leave the spring where it is,slide the rover 220Td pin in,4 screws and off you go,i took a diesel lover for a spin and it scared him  he was amazed how a 1.9TD can go so quick  And it dont adjust the off boost fueling either (rover pin ground equal not offset so just put it in)

Joel,i used the 1.6TD manifold aswell, just bolts on,i used the 1.9 inlet manifold as no blow off valve required  had to cut a little piece of alloy off the manifold for the turbo to fit as its bigger.
it is a great car now, just lowered the back as it was way high :?

THe parts were off the mk1 gti 1.8, now nearly a 16v g60 with 6 speed  I forget what the intercooler is off i bought it ages ago but i think it'll fit. What rad are u running? I seem to remember the intercooler fit infront of the 16v rad i was gonna use, so if its not wider than that

Also have a spare gtd gearbox and might be able to scrape together the inkage needed to convert a 4 speed to 5
