Mercedes turbo question

Does anyone know if the Garrett t3 turbo that came on the 78-85 mercedes diesels is oem on any other vehicles? I figured it would help with the search if there where more makes to search for.
I believe it has a .48 AR exhaust / .42 AR compressor, and a 50 trim.
Thanks, Jim

45 trim. It's a basic T3 turbo, but the compressor housing and exhaust outlet are unique to MB. Specifically it's a TA030. Check you this for what it's use on in Europe:
http://www.dieselevante.it/turbochargers.asp?idfam=TA030
The International Scouts used the same basic T3 with a .36 turbine housing.

The one I saw was a 50 trim. Perhaps there are variations from year to year?
This one with shipping is 175.00. Add in the rebuild kit for another 75 to 90 bucks.
What do you think?

The turbo they show is a TA030. What they are describing is not what they show.
All the turbo 300D/CD/TD/SD's from 78-85 have a 45 trim T3, the 87 300D/TD have a 50 trim T3 that looks very different from the 78-85, the 91-97 300SD/SDL and 350SD/SDL have a 55 trim T3.

Do you know where I can find a turbo map for the 78-85 turbo to compare against the 1987 turbo map?

im still a newb when it comes to turbo specs, which trim is preferred for our 1.6s?
i also have a fwe garrett/ mitsu turbos, they are t25s, cant remember the other specs right now, but im wondering if those would be good to use as opposed to a t3 turbo

Thanks, I need to go back through my books now on how to read these correctly. I just talked to Giles this morning,( yes that means he has my pump at his shop
) he thought that the Merc. tubo would be much to laggy to be functional as a hot daily driver. I talked to Dave at PP a while back and he reccommended this turbo.
Does anyone have one of Daves ported heads, intakes and 2.5" exhaust, with a merc turbo on it? Will the flow be enough to spool it up at a reasonable rpm?
