All Passats after Quantum mk2 Passat are sideways //golf stylee, except a mk1v, or is it a mk v.

The quoted bracket is off AAM, ABS, 2E,1Y, ASF, and AEK engines
028115417 is for AAZ,1Z engines.
That plug sized item AAM ABF 2E, ABS. AEK and they call it a valve.

For the AAZ, 1Z, 1Y engines the same pic represents a "M12 x 1.5" choke.

Does the choke look like the valve but with a hole in it or is the choke merely washer type item?
The EKTA pictures that cover many options rarely look like the item 'in the flesh' :( so to speak

oh man..

my brain was off when i posted that..

i was thinking old passats/quantums..

and dont some of the newer generation passats have longitudinal engines?
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

So my experience with this choke plug is this:

I did a rebuild of my AAZ and accidently tossed out my oil filter stand. I grabbed one from an ABA (has the choke plug). I took the white oil switch out of it's original spot and drilled and tapped that hole for the oil feed line for the turbo. I moved the oil pressure switch to one of the spots on the front of the stand. Now the switch won't close (normally open), causing the alarm in the cluster to sound.

I'll pull the choke out and let you know what happens.

Use a gasser stand if you need to, but make sure you take the choke out. I fixed my issue.
