The difference in pumps
« on: July 26, 2010, 12:21:50 am »
Im in need of a new fuel for my 1.6td, unfortunately here in england they are almost impossible to get your hands on, however I have managed to find a pump that looks almost identical, just doesnt seem to have the LDA part on top, however could I not use the top and governor with the main pump body of the none turbo? Is there more than just the top of the pump different in a turbo fuel pump?

Basically this is 1 of the only donor pumps I can find for sale in the uk:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250669871556&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_20651wt_930

However the part numbers on mine are:

0460 494 267

086 130 110 b

I realise the pump above is for a NA 1.9d engine, but Im just wondering if I just use the main pump body, coupled up with my governor and pump top would this work?

The pumps look very similar just the tops are different because of the LDA, the cold start and such are all identical
Thanks
