Torque ing the Intermediate shaft pulley to specs

Yeah,
  What a pain in neck....
I want to torque the pulley
and I can't even get my torque wrench in there cause
the unibody is in the way.....
   Anyone have any sugestions.......

  Are you using a 3/8" or 1/2" torque wrench? I also have no qualms about going to a pawn shop and buying one socket and cutting it down to have just enough bite so it doesn't slip off the bolt. Its amazing how shaving a socket gives you a bit more space.
