prechambers cracking
« on: October 07, 2009, 09:36:15 am »
Started cleaning up my very used AAZ head for re-install on the new AAZ block and noticed that all 4 prechambers have a hairline crack from the hole towards the head gasket, same general direction, same general length of crack.

Is this another common thing that can be ignored or does it mean something ominous that must be monitored or replaced?

I'll post pics tomorrow when I can borrow my camera back.

Both my engines have something similar. I try to ignore it. But both motors are passing 200,000 miles and no chunks of iconel have blown out of the turbos yet. :P But your luck might differ. ;D
