Being a UK GTD it should be a SB or RA engine and already has the oil/water oil cooler between the oil filter and engine.
The additional water pump is £82.79 from VW, but might be cheaper if you have a TPS near you http://www.thetradepartsspecialists.co.uk/ (TPS is VW/Audi trade parts division)But the Golf/Vento/Corrado, ect VR6 engines use the exact same pump.
As for oil I run my GTD's on Quantum Synta Silver and use a genuine filter from either VW or TPSA VW Transporter/Merc Sprinter intercooler fits well infront of the radiator though you might need to drop down to a 1.6 petrol radiator.
Hi all. I have a sprinter intercooler in mine ans kept original rad, along with cut aneroid fuel pin. Personally i wouldn't bother with aftermarket waterpump but you'll need EGT gauge if you're tuning the engine to the limit.

Don't use a petrol engined filter to save a couple of quid. The only seized GTD engine I ever found in a scrapyard, 100,000 miles, full of coolant (ie. uncooked), had a petrol oil filter. I wonder if there is a connection?
Hi mate! The T4 uses the same water pump. The water pump switches via a temp switch - have you eliminated that as a possible problem?
