hey its been a while life has been good minus an unexpected clutch job (chance to clean) anyway i flipped the intake flange around to accommodate my intercooler and thought the hard oil line was clear but apparently it wasnt and slowly i wore a small hole in the bugger anyway i solved it by cutting it completely and using some fuel line to make due ... it did a good job and everything even heat shielded it ... am i good to go? or was this a temporary fix ... it did not seem like too much pressure is running through it my Bentley did not say to much on the guy

Where does your feed line get its supply from ? I'm turbo-ing an NA motor...

on top of the oil filter flange. there should be a port or two that you can unscrew with an allen wrench i believe, and then hook your line up to that. else you could tee into the oil pressure sensor :wink:

I guess that line sees the full oil pressure, around 8 Bars max (top of my head values)
so, that would be a very temporary fix.

get a new one, or at least use something that endures that kind of pressure/temperatures (hydraulic machinery shops may help you)

arb the supply line runs from the oil cooler to the turbo then from the turbo back to the pan.... ..... can i use a braided stainless line or does it need to be a hard line?

I guess you can use anything that withstands those conditions.

the pipe ref is: 068145771A and costs around 45€ in Europe

sweet thanks for the feedback 8 bar is like 1200 psi thats alot more pressure than i thought ill get it done right ...thanks

8 Bar = 116 Psi

Some oil filter flanges have a convenient bolt. Some only have a boss that would need to be drilled and tapped.

Yeah, for my turbo block - NA engine, I figured where the O.P. sensor was was a greaat place for an oil finter presure / feed line fitting. :-)

For today's welding in S.S. I figure the job I did converting a NA eninge would pending my full description.....

I do have a turbo oil filter / cooler assembly.

braided steel lines will work just fine.

Stock tubing size is 8mm OD.

does anyone have the id?I have a bunch of stainless tubing i wanna use to fabricate a pipe.I have some 3/8 odwith a 1/4 id and some 1/4 od with and unknown id,but it seems smaller then3/16.
