Right - put a boost gauge on the GTD - at full boost it make 0.5 BAR (7PSi) Is that pretty good?

I cant adjust the fuel screw on the fuel pump! Its absolutely solid! Anyone got any ideas?

I'm having alternator problems!
My original alternator was replaced a while back as the bearings were starting to whine.  Its replacement charged ok, but the rev counter refused to work. Got a 3rd alternaotr to try and see if that would solve the rev counter problem. But it wouldnt work at all, no charge on the voltmeter and no rev counter.

Can you take the alternators apart and make 1 good one out of them? (transfer the rev counter sensor into the alternator which charges but doesnt work the rev counter?)

Did the new alternator come with a W terminal?

I'm going to do the PIN mod later and see it that makes a difference!

Alternator woes sorted!

Still cant adjust the fuel screw - I've tried using a screwdriver on it, but as soon as i put any pressure on it the screwdriver pops out - i've tried penetrating fluid, but no joy!

About the fuel screw. Might be a stupid question but the bentley mentions a locking nut on the max rpm screw. Is this the one you're playing with and if so is the lock nut off?

How did you fix the alternator?

That's the correct screw, but the locknut is right there at its base (13 mm if I recall correctly).

Get a wrench on that thing, and back it out a quarter turn or more.  Then you can fit the screwdriver into the slot, and turn the screw independantly of the locknut.

Once you have the screw set where you like, hold the screw in place with the screwdriver, and tighten the locknut down with the 13 mm wrench.

That looks pretty heavily corroded.  Have you doused it liberally with penetrating oil first?

If need be, remove the injector lines around it so you can access it easier with a socket.
