Has anyone measured cam lift and duration?

I'm planning on measuring all the different cams that were available for VW diesels but before I waste a bunch of my time if anyone has already done this and can let me know the info that'd be appreciated.
I have the following cams:
1.5 NA solid
1.6 TD solid
1.6 NA solid
1.6 NA hydro
1.6 TD hydro
1.9 TD hydro
I was going to set up a spare head and measure the valve height every 10 degrees or so for each cam and then post the numbers (and hopefully someone with EXCEL can graph it all)
I plan on flipping the head and taking the measurements the same way that you measure piston protrusion, unless there is an easier way?

I'm pretty sure someone on the Vortex has already done this. I've seen some sort of chart which had dozens of factory cam profiles on it. I don't know if it specifically had diesels or not, but it's probably worth looking for.

I saw it also.
I remember thinking an NA cam would give a slight EGT reduction in a Turbo application. Been a while though and my memory could be off.

Does every 10 degrees sound like a good measuring distance (36 times per cycle, ~18 times per lobe) or is that not enough or excessive?

Sounds good to me if i had what it took i would like to do it cause everyone says something different. We need some good concrete numbers.
