What hp/torque#'s justify use of head, main, rod studs?

So, Finally.
I'm in the process of doing a 1.6TD build that I'd like to make ~120-135 whp at the end of the day reliably. It's all fresh. No miles on anything inside the mill.

I know I probably need to push 15-25 psi from my k24 to do this kind of power. I'm also in line for a giles pump.
I already have the metal head gasket on the way, but i see a lot of talk about head studs.

At what point is it just stupid to think stock headbolts will hold it all together?
Also, how many failures have there been with stock bolts? What is the nature of the failure? bolts just pop? head gasket gives?

I know they use the same mains on motors that are making 150hp out of the box (1.8t's etc).
So main studs seem sort of pointless in my situation, no? what hp numbers justify main studs?

Since our motors turn slow (compared with gassers) I have to assume rod studs are also overkill?

Anybody got an informed opinion on this?

heck,id  use head studs on a stock engine with a blown head gasket
the stock stretch bolts are such  junk
the headstuds are reusable,so go have fun+pop lotsa headgaskets(like me),cause then you dont have to keep replacing those stupid bolts :lol:
seriously,arent the bolts like 50$ a set?and studs are like 175..
so pop a couple of gaskets during "testing" and the bolts pay for themselves
they hold it together better anyways...with studs dont worry about  blowin gaskets if you run less than 40psi

Head studs can prevent stripping out headbolt threads.... and that will save you a bunch of work/money.
 I've heard of this happening  a few times lately.
 Latest was with an 11mm block but I've heard of helicoils going into 12mm blocks too.
 So horsepower isn't the only concideration when it comes to headbolts.

like everyone else says. Just use them no matter what.
