ARP part #s
Head Studs..........................251-4701 (yes, the catalog will show them as being for a Ford Cosworth Sierra/Escort!)
Main Studs...........................204-5402
Con Rod bolts 1.6 and 1.7......104-6002
Trans ring gear bolt kit 020 ...204-3001
Oil pump bolts.......................661-1014
Hope this helps
Jim
The head studs are the ones that were reccommended on this site. They should fit both 1.9 and 1.6. Correct me if I am wrong.
Same deal with the main studs. Got the info from here.
Con rod bolts, I sent my rods to ARP for them to check and find correct replacement size. This is what they reccommend. I would have sent in 1.9 rods but no one sent me any. I will pass along my contact info at ARP if someone wants to send some. These rod bolts are for the 1.6 and 1.7. I was told they offered about an additional 20,000 psi of strength and a much greater shear strength. I do not know if they will fit a 1.9
The trans ring gear bolt kit is for the 020 tranny's.
The oil pump bolts are direct replacement for the bolts out of my pump. I do not know if these are the same size as the newer 36mm pump people are talking about here on the site. Anyone know if the 36mm uses different size bolts?
All above refer to IDI. The oil pump was from mid to late 80's hydro TD.
A new style of headstuds are available Click here for more info

Is it true there are two seperate lengths?Somewhere i heard you need to use a spacer in some cases. You sussposed to be able to tell by a c or s cast number.

What about TDI head studs?
Also, do any of the others, (main, rods, etc) apply to the TDI? I know it's been discussed before but it's too many posts ago....

No idea. I contacted ARP directly for my questions. I will try and look up the guy's contact info so you can get it right from the horses mouth.

The contact info for the tech I used at ARP:
Chris Brawn 1-805-525-1497
He was very helpful and knew what he was talking about.
I was able to get a better price however through headbolts.com. If the guy did not have the part he would order it. He was cheaper than summit.

Just to let everyone know, I just picked up a set of ARP main studs for my 1.6 from
http://www.headbolts.comMy walking out the door price was 100 bucks. Cheaper than 118 plus shipping from Summit.

before asking for specific part numbers for 1.6 TD head studs, i searched and found this thread, thanks.
being that ive done things the hard way many times and still do from time to time, I wanted to confirm the validity of the claims posted here. I will provide a cut&paste I just received from ARP.

Brian,
The part numbers you have provided are not listed for that specific application. I do not have any information regarding if these parts numbers you have given me will work for your application. The head stud kit in question is listed for a Ford Cosworth Sierra/Escort with a 2.0L DOHC engine. The studs in that kit are 12mm x 1.75 and are 5.400” long overall.
As I mentioned before I would need the calculation sheet to be filled out in order for me to verify if the part numbers you have provided (for the head and main studs) are correct for your application. As for the rod bolts, ring gear bolts and oil pump bolts we would need to know the dimensions of the factory bolts to see if the part numbers you have provided match up.
Regards,
Zac
------
I did get this calculation sheet on a previous email attachment from ARP, however that would require me to have more downtime with the car apart in my garage which im trying to avoid.
Im not saying that the PN's listed above wont work, but as you can read from ARP, confirmed it is not.
So does anyone have proof positive BTDT with corresponding PN's for ARP 1.6TD head studs?
thanks.

Bump to keep the data at the top!
Just bought a set from Summit Racing on friday.
They are up to $130 by now, but still well worth it.
