Is there any way to fix guages that stopped working.....
I was test driving my 1.9 IDI (94) and all of a sudden the rpm guage and speedo stopped working.....the other 2 work fine and all the warning lights work fine....
I pulled them out and tried them in the other diesel and they dont work either.....so it is the guages for sure!!!!
Please help!!
cheers Michal

The reason it occured is explained on vorex. Basically this was a major problem with these cars. One fellow on vortex can rebuilt yours.

Not only that, but it's fraud & you just admitted it in an internet forum. Ooops.

yea the km's won't match up with the ministry either... if you enter a value lower than what they have, you are pretty much screwing yourself over... your best bet was just to have it 'frozen' lol

I wanted the kms lowered cause I just rebuilt the engine...and it will be easier for me to track. I will make a sticker on the guages that at 350k kms the guages were reset. Im not worried about stating it on the internet either Im not gonna lie about it to anyone and besides I never plan on selling the car either. So Im gonna be the only one that knows. Another thing the mk3 odometer only goes to about 300k kms and then it starts at 0 again.
