if the pump timing is not set correct could this make any difference?the 1.6 looked faster because it was on a golf II that is lighter than golf III...could be that :idea:

Mainly intended to prevent the crankshaft nose from tearing apart at the keyway. The amount of power involved in a 1.9 is apparently sufficient to eventually cause the metal to fail at that point; a TDI sprocket has no keyway, instead holding position through the D-shape of the crank hole.Did I get that right, gurus?
