Daily driver 1985 Jetta 1.6l TD 5m
The clock reads 150k miles, but it only works about 1/3 of the time... Need to get thtat fixed one of these days. Just had it rebuilt about 10k miles ago, and she is running very strong. Parked it outside for 3 days in temps hovering at or below zero without a block heater. After one round of glow plugs, she fired up on the first try. Needless to say i had a huge grin!!

722,000 kms so far but it's on it's 3rd engine and 2nd transmission. Bought it 10 years ago for $400 with a mere 360,000 kms on it.

4 vehicles in the driveway right now:
Daily Driver is '91 Jetta TD with 422,000 km, Engine never apart. Its been VERY good to me. I put 70,000+ per year on it 3 years in a row.
If pending sale on Jetta goes through, as of tomorrow my daily will be '97 Passat TDI with 299,000 KM, top end and IP done recently by PO.
My prior daily and current weekend kid hualler is '95 chev G20 van with 515,000km, engine never apart exept for intake manifold gasket replacment 5 or so years back.
Wifes car is '01 Venture with something like 70,000k on it. I only know how to change the oil on that one

1.3 million km of motoring!

Well, the body stayed pretty good. I did replace both floor pans from front to back a couple summers ago. Aside from the body, I think the only original parts left on it are the glass (except for the windshield) and the rear axle. Lol. I kept the original engine and tranny to rebuild for that "numbers matching" restoration when it hits 1,000,000. Lol.

i've always heard stories of guys walking into VW with original maintenance receipts with 1'000'000 on the clock and getting a brand new car for free... '07 Jetta with a PD engine please! leather package.. and um...
