Looking for place to buy ARP studs/bolts....
« on: January 05, 2007, 09:14:13 pm »
Looking for a company that stocks the ARP bolts or equivalent. I am rebuilding a 1.6L turbo and looking for cylinder head bolts, and possibly con rod bolts.
Also need to know if the 1.8 8V gas stud kits are the same as the 1.6 turbo diesel?

Thanks!

all the older 8v's should use the same studs(gas or diesel),as long as they are both 12mm to begin with
Throttle cables ftw

I bought my studs from Summit Gas engines use 11mm bolts, those won´t fit.

The rod bolts and the head bolts are your biggest concerns.

Are these ARP bolts also Strech bolts? Or can I re use them?

Does anybody knows whichs Rod bolt set I have to get from ARP? It's for a 1.9TD (AAZ) engineblock.

Will the 11mm gasser studs fit the 11mm early NA diesel block with the 11mm headbolts.
I've seen the 11mm blocks with 12point, triplesquare, 11mm, gasser streeatch bolts... so I figure the studs will work.
If so it would be a nice upgrade for the weaker 11mm diesel headbolts that are too short and put large stress on a small area.
