• I am getting ready to measure the Piston Protrusion for My early TDI and I cannot seem to find the guide for piston protrusion to head gasket guide. anyone have these specs? also are there any gaskets that are better than the stock ones?

• i guess you coul have a metal(copper one made up)
  but the stocker seems to hold my 40 psi i put to mine sofar(with head studs too)
  my book isnt here
  ill try to grab it from the shop tomorrow if no one else posts the specs you need......

• thanks hillfolk'r, I found a manual at work to tell me what thickness head gasket to go with, I went with the stock metal one and wont be running over 25 pounds of boost
