Head gasket choices

I am getting ready to measure the Piston Protrusion for My early TDI and I cannot seem to find the guide for piston protrusion to head gasket guide. anyone have these specs? also are there any gaskets that are better than the stock ones?

i guess you coul have a metal(copper one made up)
but the stocker seems to hold my 40 psi i put to mine sofar(with head studs too)
my book isnt here
ill try to grab it from the shop tomorrow if no one else posts the specs you need......

thanks hillfolk'r, I found a manual at work to tell me what thickness head gasket to go with, I went with the stock metal one and wont be running over 25 pounds of boost
