your small eco diesel turbo is still much bigger then a tdi or 1.8t turbo... you can swap to a 1.6td non eco diesel turbo for a bigger turbo.... a down pipe makes a big differenc e..go bigger on the exhaust and get rid of the muffler..get a egt and bopost guage and adjust your inj pump for more fuel

I normally drill and tap for a 1.9 npt nipple to run a boost line off the intake manifold.. some td intake manifolds have a little nipple off of the intake elbow you can tee into.. also you can undo the 10 mm banjo bolts for the waste gate pressure lines and either cut the metal pipe and slip and hose over it or get a nipple that threads into the hole for a hose ..then run those in to the cabin and attach to adjustable air pressure regulator  from say a air compressor...and then you can dial in you boost level... if you don't want to tap the intake for a boost line , tee into the cold side waste gate line for adj boost controller you make....
diesels have no vacuum... ie no throttle plate ...dril and tap your exhaust manifold before the turbo for the egt gauage ...if you don't have a egt gauge or don't want to install one ..then don't touch the injection pump.
Thanks
