• Collecting more parts for my 1.6 TD swap into my 4-dr Tracker,  The engine is a 1984 CY 1.6 TD, it came with a double crank pulley that resembles a harmonic balancer. (Elastomer ring between the hub and pulley).  I need to put power steering on it, so i found a complete pulley/bracket/ pump set up from a 1984 1.8 gti.  The crank pulley set up for the power steering is a inner and a outer pulley sandwiched together, and its solid, no elastomer center.  Will this be ok to swap over & run?

• The offset of the gasser crank pulleys is usually wrong due to the thin timing belt.

  He is correct but I think if you swap every pulley and bracket it will still function.
