Need to make Eco/k14 oil return line
« on: January 18, 2015, 06:30:32 am »
I searched for a thread with the fitting sizes and can't find anything.  Has anyone made a new return line with hydraulic fittings, etc?

I purchased a k14 from a member here and he made a custom drain line using ss braided hose and -AN fittings to the oil pan.  He did reuse the male fitting and cut it off after the union on the turbo end.  I'll see if I can't snap some pics if it will help.

Oh yeah, seems to work, no leaks.

I saw a thread for this a while back and a member had fittings, part numbers, etc from a hydraulic website.  Of course I can't find it now

I found the thread but they were drilling the block.  I want to adapt to the fitting on the turbo pan

IIRC, the oil pan on a 1.6TD takes a 16mm compression fitting on the tubing part.  After that, you can use barbed, -AN, JIC, or something you work up yourself to get upwards to the turbo oil drain.

Thanks, do you know the turbo fitting size?  It's a k14.
I don't have a shop near me or I would take it and have them match it up.
