4BT rebuilt pump.
« on: December 09, 2014, 07:29:24 pm »
Hey guys I've got a 4BT rotary pump that I would like to put up for sale. I recently bought it with the intention to go mechanical with the TDI, but after thinking about it I've decided against it.

I would like to start at $400.00+shipping.

I will send pictures upon request.

Thanks much,

Timmothy

Posting pictures would really help with your sale. We don't know if this pump is a brand new Bosch rebuild still bagged and tagged or a greasy junkyard pull open to the elements.

Correct, there were some that came out not being 12mm after reading some so I will double check with some part numbers

The part number is 3917530LA , M060806020B,
Libby you might be able to help out and figure out if it's 12my or not.

IMO, the easiest way to be certain of the plunger diameter is to remove the end cap and use calipers.  Torque it back to 55 ft-lbs.  For the socket you can get a 24mm 6pt socket and grind out three of the 6 flats or get a 24mm 12 pt and grind out 6 of the points - remove 2 and leave 2, etc...

Bump, I've not fabricated a socket yet. I did find that all 4BT pump 12mm. I have every intention of verifying it but it's very doubtful that it's not.
