I don't mind a clean look, but the current template seems to have an overly generous amount of empty space. Very google-ish.

The text is a bit small on my display (1920x1280)... a tool for text size would be nice.

yeah that circle at the top with the username in it is a huge waste of space.  and all the text is faint and hard to read which is my biggest gripe.  also it says "VWDIEDEL BLOG" at the top.

Shrinking the profile pictures back to their previous size would help - right now I can only really see one post at a time on my screen because there's a huge gap between them.

On my desktop I have no avitars at all. It is very hard to tell what post is what. I only come once a day to check to see about moderating. I also am hoping something better comes, every time I log on. You cannot even read your post while typing as it is not a paragraph, but a single line.

The point is, the yellow and this have been awful. I cannot see gaining members by doing this. I didn't like the last change, but this one is going to kill the forum completely unless something better is done quickly.

search is the magnifier at the top of page.
click the  little  dude next to it, pan  left  just under the  banner(looks almost like part of it) is 'modify  profile' which has checkmoxes  for dispaying avatars and stuff.

I turned off signatures and blocked 3-4 things with Adblock so I can actually read 4-5 posts at a time instead of 2!
Here are some before and after pics, site is great now!

Before and after: http://imgur.com/a/ndKNv

My screen resolution is 1920x1080, I can only imagine what it'd be like for those with smaller resolution...yikes

It is mostly just the huge avatar size that was bothering me.

Meh.... the current is better because the avatars don't take an entire band across the page.

On the current, if we could lose the avatar at the top-center and lose the color blocks and messaging icons below each post avatar, we'd be making good use of space.

Speaking of avatars, 65x65 is pretty small. If the template displays them larger, maybe the board s/w could compress them to a more appropriate size.

Regards.
