171919827 and 171919827b ... are they available or needed?

On my 1982 Audi 4000 I have these two switches on my injection pump. I am not 100% sure what theyre for (one seems to be an idle switch), and neither work, and the car runs great.
Do I need these? If so, where the heck do I find them? I cant find them for sale anywhere online..

Probably related to air conditioning? Lots of cars have a switch to disable the AC at WOT. Not sure why it would care about idle for that though. Does the car have EGR?

Nope. No AC. I also read it was for the up shift light?
If I don't need them I wouldn't mind hiding the wires. But just want to make sure I don't need them. Not that they work now though....

I thought they were for upshift crap, I don't even mount them up on any of my cars.

Yep, upshift light stuff.
Full throttle and idle switches.

I saw a 30K mile Caddy like, fifteen years ago, that had them, and they worked.
That was the only one though.
