Hi,
the Holset HE211W that dynoed 173whp on a 1.6TD is for sale as my friend has moved on to an even bigger turbo, shaft play like brand new and no damage to the wheels. Asking 500$ + shipping (100$ worldwide). PM or email:
[email protected]Original T25 input gasket and downpipe gasket will be included, Cad drawing for flanges also if needed.
Compressor wheel: 56mm / 40.6mm 4+4 blades (early prototype from Holset, these flow slightly more than the 6+6 blades versions)
Turbine wheel: 46.6mm / 41.3mm 11-blades
Turbine housing 5cm^2
These come with 360° thrust bearing stock, 30psi+ is piece of cake all day long
31+lbs/min of air mass flow, somewhere in the region of 210-220hp @ crank on an IDI, 250-260hp @ crank on a TDI. 310hp @ crank for a petrol but I would recommend an external wastegate at some point to avoid boost creep.
The one to the right:
Dyno plot:
173.5whp, 336.4Nm=248.1ft-lbs (torque peak would be higher if pull was started earlier as one can see it reaches full boost before that since torque curve is already falling)
140+whp already at 3000rpm

No flange, but I can post a CAD drawing of the flange to make it youself or have it water or lazer cut locally

Do you have a dyno graph that includes the 0-3,000 rpm range?

Unfortunately no, owner was worried for the stock rods even though I tried to convince him a pull from 1500rpm would give more valuable spool up data

Regardless, it is impressive.

what has to be done to a stock td engine to take advantage of something like this?

No need for anything but a stock engine, but in the 173whp example it was a bone stock 1.6TD bottom end, bone stock 1.9TD/AAZ head, this turbo, a good FMIC setup and a 11mm pump build by Dieselmeken in Sweden, thats about it

This is a very fair price, and I wish I had one of these turbos to compare performance to the Garrett GT2056 currently on my 167 HP 1.5L.
However, I can't afford the cost to find out if it would represent an improvement.
Best of luck with the sale, Alcaid!
Steve.

New rules in the for sale section of commenting on threads. This I consider interest and moving the thread in a consistent manner to sell the product with the questions stated. It is trending to discussion and that is what we are trying to avoid as several members have PM'ed me about in other threads.
In short, you guys are all awesome and we are doing great, keep mindful of these things and keep it up.

"Sold this one locally but I have arranged a deal with my Holset supplier to ship directly to US/CAN if interested. 600$ shipped for a brand spankin' new one"
Is this actually a thing?
