I have a mk2 AC alternator bracket. Do you have a pic of a Mach 1 AC alternator bracket? curious what one looks like.

8mm alt pivit bolt to start... mk2 is 10mm... the alt mount section is the differance in design..
mine is installed on my b3 set up.. aka 83 td in it.. and ac lines and all fit even.. so mk1 stuff complete will fit a mk2... but i think the alt is too tall, and rad in way to fit mk2 stuff on a mk1...

MK1 alternator bracket has more webbing,.. and a bigger pivit bolt, like mentioned.
Here's my spare:
$35 plus shipping.
You can see the pivot hole you are concerned with, it's round.
The AC holes/threads are good too.
Noy sure what CRSMP5 is talking about

holes and ac mount ear look round/flat.. looks alt hole looks oversized though... not a bad thing as a 10mm bolt upgrade is good... but gotta drill the alt to do that..
the other sides ac mount ear is the sliding bushing... cannot see in pic... but since it slides if it is not flat can be fixed and made right.. if it were damaged..
just to clarify what i refer to on the mounting ears... and a non screwed up alt bolt hole..

Did not mean to set off a firestorm. The car is an original, factory turbodiesel. Here is the build thread:
http://www.vwdiesel.net/forum/index.php?topic=26483.0Still looking for a mk1 TD pan. Not an emergency, but the current pan already has some welding and stuff messed with on it. Would like a new one to eventually swap on and keep one as a spare since they are hard to find.
The bracket I need is stamped 068 260 885D.
It looks like this:

whats wrong with the one in the pic?? most can be fixed unless its really bad/worn.. but check on the alt piviot bolt size in the pic above for 35... i think it was redrilled due to key hole issues..
honestly dude i have never seen a mk1 oil drain plug not screwed up... sadly i can add mk2 also.. for somereason they all seem screwed up vs the same set up on a na style pan...
if its got the original piece inside the pan... for the drain plug.. id remove it.. weld up the pan and redo its drain completly with a real nut welded inside.. i think your result unless its got major cave in from hitting things.. and honestly.. id reweld the td bung to a na pan... too hard to come by.. and too easy to mock up and weld..

Soo just wanting a new one because the old one had a wallowed-out alternator pivot bolt hole?
Don't like mine because of all the webbing? Not a factory MK1 diesel bracket? Not shiney. Too pricey?
All of the above?
My other one has all the webbing too.
Your's looks like a couple of MK1 and MK2 AC alternator brackets broke all the rules and social norms and got it on. Made a freak.
Some kind of mutant bracket,..no webbing low (MK2) but still has the one fat web under the alternator pivot (MK1).
