Yes. It's not the source of the noise. Car came with that -- planning on replacing it with a stock airbox soon.

Noise was GONE this past drive again. SEems to come and go.

Most run 15w40 if conventional.

I have a 1.6TD running 0w40 full synthetic. An AAZ running 5w40 synthetic, and a TDI running 15w40 conventional.
