CAbby is supposed to be a higher load rated spring like GTI and GLI MK1. That is the only differences I know of besides caddy.

they say they are.. but they were gti ish in stioffness.. the added weight of convert is reason.. but they are so much stiffer then sedan due tp reinforcements a stronger spring/sway bars can hurt cornering..
you need to find some cargo coils.. old used.. old stock.. hell made by moog.. got to have some somewhere..
your wet dream is a "nevomat" made by boge in the 80s... self leveling rear shocks for a mk1... nice ride.. and level once you start to drive... sadly they fail and creep to ground over night.. then till you drive do not pump back up.. and nla = life warentee = usless which is why i never had a set.. but was real real close back in 90ish.. knew of 2 sets needing warentee..

Im just gonna go back to stock ride height.. haha I had less issues there.
Being lowered is not cool at all.

LOW sucks, and as stated was just mentioning the fact that the Cabby, GTI and GLI's had stiffer springs. If you want a slight raise use MK2 rear shocks and springs.

The moog variable rate coils on Rockauto are indeed the cargo coils. I should know, I have them on my cabriolet.

Had my low for 6 years. Low looks good but bad roads and old age have made me appreciate stock height.
