A guy I know has a corrado serp Ac comp it's line fitting are the same as the ones on a standard 1.6 d. If I where to do a serp alt conversion on it would this compressor have the same offset as the rest of the aaz setup?

you have to mount the corrado ac/alt bracket about 4" further out on the diesel, because of the injection pump being where the alternator would sit..
there was a guy on here who had a corrado bracket on his diesel, but it definitely was NOT a bolt on and go operation..
in short, the bracket wont work unless you space it a long ways away from the block, and towards the passenger side as well, being that it is off a gasser 8v, so it doesnt have the right offset for a diesel..
My thinking was though with an aaz serp setup it would work because according to this guy it same offset as aha compressor and thAts same as Tdi. And he says mounts same. Don't know cuz the stuff isn't in front of me. Hmm
I'd get pics from him to confirm. If it's true then mount it up! Sounds like a good thing to add since newer style compressors have less drag than older ones.

the compressor is INDEED the same offset..
the 2 brackets, are NOT however...
the brackets are where the offset is dictated, thats why VW used the same accessories on gas, diesel, and 16v engines..
i PROMISE you that the bracket is different, not the actual accessory bolted to the bracket..
i will not say it will...
g60 roddo = serp and R12...
93 vr6 and rest = serp + R134...
the ears and crap moved with new castings for r134 style connectors..
also roddo = 8v = thinnest crank pully and stuff..
so if you want get it.. BUT may not work vs modding passat lines or as i keep telling you.. b4 lines... too many b4 passats have lost their tdi's to other cars...

So your saying raddo compessor WILL work on aaz/tdi bracket?!
either way I bought it. doesn't work... ill sell it off. mucg rather not cut stuff up if I don't have to

AAZ and ABA, and mk3 TDI are for sure the same.. both have mk3 connections on the ends.
the rado compressor should be a mk2 unit, and have a mk2 connection on the end.
i never said a PG pump would work on an AAZ/TDI bracket..
