this vid is posted on a thread im watching... now that ive reached my friend in cali.. who by dumbluck is in pa till tues, have roughly 14 days to pull this together..

i hope by next weekend to have a few pics.. cali friend inspection so on.. and if crap works... maybe goto bonillie (sp??) car show in nov in cali... and bring home my next project... one of them there things in the vid.... rumor is 24 were sold... and imo.. the one that popped up needs to be a soot monster...

so hope life good... i can pull off the deal... as if so... mk1madness 2013 will be interesting... ill have it built for it.. just so i can have a kubvan and that there..

Wow. Looks like a Fiero kinda, but man it would be fun with a built Diesel in it. Also, IMHO 99% of cars should not be yellow.

I like CRS,  Very original but I don't have time for fooling around with it.  Have two jobs in two cities for a few more years then I can do what I want.

Correct FWD,  Use the Rabbit running gear to make it fly.  My thought is, where is the roof on these things.  CA only rig if that is the case.  OR is way to wet for open bonnet styles.

still in price negotions.. biggest issue is my cali friend in town here... not there due to issue with his mom..

its not practicle for trips to store... camping... so on.. only a too and from roffed areas... but i still want it..

lime green with neon blue neopream seats/matching wheels with polished lips... else pumpkin orange... no matter what it will be a im gettin stopped due to color...

CRS  you after that Vortex offer?  With about 25 being sold in US that makes it pretty special and perhaps a collectors piece.  What kind of price are you talking here?   Not the 5-600 special we saw from others getting "deals" on MK's.

im not saying... i know what he wants... i know what i have access to... ill tell price once its picked up... ill hate myself to loose it at last offers in negotiation... but it needs lots of work...

il have ~1k in fuel/tolls to go pick it up.. so that alone will drive overall price up...

hope to do bonelli vw show 2nd sat of nov (if i end up owning it).....  the idea is swing by san fran.. prep it to tow bar behind kubvan... aka new bearings/tires and such.. tow bar mount.. pull it to the vw show then head back to ohio...  

this way ill have dec-april to do the body work/electrical.. then gut the rotted out 81 coupe to put it together with a simple 1.6na 5 speed.. bilstines and such... go change my color of car at dmv of my historical plates on the coupe (has no title/vin#s on it yet, have to go jump thru kit car bs, but based off my 81 coupe for doner)... call up my sweet insurance company the kubvan is thru.. add it onto that policy.. i expect it to be a nice 50-100/year much like the kubvan... just lower amount of value vs it.. ($10k is 139/year)

plain and simple.. if it got hit its dead... kubvan.. unless major t bone.. i can fix for less then stated value si ill value it at the cash payout of parts id loose + moneys invested in the build...

want to take it to mk1madness 2013 pulled behind kubvan.. so i can have both there for the show..

its got tube frame to go with the fiberglass tub... the pee green on when googled has best pics ive seen... also found 2 pics with the spyder windshield set up... he has all the "options" like doors, rear packing tray, bumpers.. spyder windshield stuff..

just got back from taking my friend to airport.. so on way back tp cali soon... so now he needs to find the cash for my deposite.. then ill owe the balance on monthly payments... not how i prefer to do it.. but only way we came up with a price to keep us happy...   so can still be snipped from me with full payment/more... ut at the moment i am the ill get it out of his way by the deadline.. just will owe him some coin.. guess my words inspire him..

thoughts are goto san fran by the 7th of nov... prep jack rabbit for flat tow... take both kubvan and jack rabbit to show... drive back east... pulling it all the way home with the kubvan..

have room for 1 serious ride along... ill only charge you 1/4 fuel costs... on your own for food/lodging.. me camping in kubvan...

thoughts are drive 6hr.. take 6 hr break... so on... i cannot sleep much more then 3-4hr at a time... so eats, nap.. email.. drive type of thing... but can be modded so the places to see can be hit on the break times too...
