for something i can see being "driven" maybe 2k a year... 1.6na is not a "waste" vs say building a 2nd tdi-m for say my b3 wagon...  reality is no real road trips or long distance due to rain factor... the "real" miles it will see most would be towbar situation...  like taking to mk1madness... id assume it to be a car that 5 gal of fuel is most of the summer... its not that dry here...

now do not get me wrong.. would be much more fun with turbo or something... just cannot justify a $2-3k tdi set up.. my 84 or b3 deserve it more.. can drive those 365...

Well look at you son, gettin' all that fancy cool-lookin' rarity.  That's a real lucky find there!  Makes me think of a Bricklin, except it's a VW.  I got a 1.6 NA pump of you want it if you find a motor without one.  Hell just tell me and I'll do my best to throw any of my small parts cache at you because I want to see this DONE!!

if you were not 15 mike... id let you drive it... but my insurance ill have on it says 23 min... and if age no issue... gotta be 5'7" which is what? 1ft or so taller then you but seriously.. you not going to reach pedals...  tiime to make cookies yet??

drivers pad/seat will be formed for my height/length of legs.. its not "adjustable" as its pads velcroed to fiberglass...

if all else fails... we pull you behind kubvan w/towbar..

may have to take you up on the pump... i have a nice 11mm 1.6 in storage... no pump.. looking at how complete it is... i may not discect my 81 coupe to build it... some cheap coils..

auto x.... sadly no roof... since the fiberglass dash/winshield pillers are modded for speedster glass... the "roll bar" has to be cut too... so i doubt it would be allowed..

i find the "trunk lid" to be a nice addition... instrument cluster w/radio delete and gauge holes.. sweet... mk1 rocco steering wheel.. sweet..

Oh you joking cad.     I was just talking about a ride-along really.  I know I've got those little dachshund legs and I figured the car was designed for folks bigger than oompa loompas.  I'll just be glad to see another of your madcap projects.  You know I'm all about the tech!
