is a 3" exhaust not a little bit excessive??
I can barely fit 2.5" on my VNT20 flange, and this is an engine hoping to do 180hp

Any other plans for the golf(rabbit)?

maybe? it allows room to grow. i just picked up a gt2860 for it, so that 3" will help it breath a little better

Damn a GT2860?! If that thing doesn't spool til its time to shift, it won't be much fun...you may as well just use it in a compound setup, feed it with a K14 or something similar!  8)

I know, I hope its not to bad. I was spooling  t3/t04e with the stock governor, and the gt28 has a much smaller turbine wheel, and much tighter housing, with a nearly identical compressor. So it should spool considerably faster, and I will try to shim the governor next weekend which will give a much wider power band. I hope it drives ok. if not ill try something new.

How was the to4e?  Do u no the specs of it?  I would expect the disco potato to spool much much faster it doesn't have an ideal compressor map but I'm curious to hear how it works.  Is it a chinese turbo?

yes its a chines turbo. I have used several chines turbos on this car, and been pleased with them.

specs for the t3/4 are
Compressor:
Trim:   55
A/R:   .50
Inducer:   50.50
Exducer:   76.00
Turbine:
Trim:   73
A/R:   .63
Inducer:   65.50
Exducer:   55.90
turbo kind of sucked but it would spool

the chinese turbos make me laugh, for one there is no such thing as a 55 trim t4, and then it lists inducer and exducer sizes, so you can calculate the trim yourself, and their numbers make it a 44 trim t4, again no such thing and it doesn't even match what they say, ha.  anyways  im still watching ur build here, very interesting, i don't think i'd ever run the chinese knock off stuff myself tho, id rather use used but good stuff.  not that i blame you.
