see im into the old turbo dodges and know about those turbos fairly well. i dont know how much air the top end flows and such but i do know that the 2.2 has a 8 valve head and the stock t3 that was on my car would basically sit there and spool. a super 60 on a stock head wasnt horrible on a stock head either and that turbos good for 300hp.

no its not going to be that bad. is anything done to the aba to the bottom end to run boost? if not i wouldnt go over 7ish psi. depending on the CR of the engine.

if you plan on building the next one way better i would go with something you could upgrade easily tho and the t3 is great for that. and if you so with a little work that teo4h wastgate can should be able to work on the t3.
the teo4 is good for about 190ish
the t3 good to 225ish.

im running the teo4 on a 1.6 i see no reason to not run bigger seeing as it has bigger displacement and more broad rpm range. if your going to see how much power you can make why have the turbo be your downfall. why not the botttom end.

im not running an ABA in my car now, im running a GX.. its an 8.5:1 compression 8v engine.. perfect for boost.

and when i build up the ABA 16vT, its gonna have ARP studs up top and holding the crank in, metal head gasket, as well as ARP rod bolts if i can find them. most likely going to use the stock ABA pistons. everyone says there good for about 300hp, if you can keep the engine from going lean..

i modified a stock VW manifold for the T2 turbo already.. if i decide to go with a different turbo now, i would need to spend quite a bit more money.. i would have to buy a T3 manifold off ebay, and then pay to get an adapter flange made for it so i can run the dodge T3 pattern..

screw it, the T2 is going on there.. i will decide for myself if i need a different turbo on there.. i want my boost down low anyways, and it sounds like this T2 should darn near be spooled at idle.. like i said, the T2 is bolted to a manifold already. it needs boost tubing and oil lines to run. all the other turbos need considerably more work/$$$ to use them..

when i build the ABA16vT, im going to probably use my K26, or else buy a better T3 turbo.

89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

well there was only really one ca18et but, theres also the dohc ca18det, i just said ca18 so i wasn't sure which one u had.  i don't have a compressor map but for the 8v it will be a nice little turbo on there.  the dodge t3 or the k26 would make the most power, and i know the k26 has been used on 8vs before (mostly abas)  but it doesn't sound like ur looking for peak power, just more power on the cheap.  on an aba 16v, i'd really look at what other people are running, aba 16vs are really common and butt loads of people have already experimented and found what works and what doesn't.  aba bottom ends are awesome.  most people will push an aba bottom end further than a 1.8t bottom end haha.

thats what i did other than the paying to get flanges made you can buy them on the net. buy a stantard t3 flange and a chrysler t3 flange weld them together and one side bolts to your header the other to the turbo. not that bad honestly. and the header from china off ebay is like 110 to your door and is actually very decent quality. even weldable even tho its cast due to the high nickle content
